Earthquake in Hawaii

Aloha all, we rode out the quake just fine here in Kona. It was a very violent shaker though, reminiscent of Northridge in '94, which I rode out too. Lots of stuff came down off shelves and broke and some rocks fell off our rock walls outside, but otherwise we are fine. It was a 6.3 or 6.6, depending on who you're listening to, some minor danage in town here, small landslides, boulders on the roads, cracks in the highway. Power was out across the state all morning, and some flights were cancelled. But I think we're all ok.
Let this serve as a reminder: have your emergency kits stocked up and ready. You never know when you'll need them.

Glad you and yours made it through okay. My brother and his family live on Kauaii and did fairly well too.
Synchronicity: I was also in the Northridge Quake of '94. (And most of the really big ones in the LA /S Cal area since the 70's.
